About Physix SM
Move better, feel better with our Milton Keynes physiotherapists
If you’re tired of being in pain and struggling with your daily activities, living with a chronic condition or dealing with a recent injury, we can help. Based in Milton Keynes, our expert physiotherapists provide first class, evidence-based treatment for the best possible results.
How we work: Your recovery plan
We’re experts in musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. This expertise enables us to build the best recovery plan for you based on our comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics (movement), referred pain and the body’s ‘pain alarm’ system.
We work from our clinic in Milton Keynes where we are fully equipped to get you on the road to recovery as quickly as possible. All our physiotherapists are trained to the highest standards and continually update their knowledge and skills through ongoing training.
As a patient of Physix SM, you will have a fully personalised recovery plan, which considers your unique body and particular set of symptoms, as well as your individual lifestyle needs and goals. The plan incorporates three parts
Assessment
Our expert physiotherapists conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand the root cause, or causes, of your pain.
This includes evaluating range of movement and biomechanical patterns, joint tests, strength tests and any contributory factors such as previous pain or injuries, lifestyle or environmental factors.
Prescribe & Treat
Following assessment, we prescribe the best recovery plan for you. Treatment options can include manual therapy, shockwave therapy and acupuncture, but most recovery plans include movement and exercise.
Don’t let that put you off! Our individually designed exercise programmes get some of the best results.
Self-Care
We believe that working in partnership with you creates the best outcome.
We therefore help you understand your body and your experience of pain, while teaching you self-care and pain management strategies, to maximise treatment success and reduce the risk of future problems.
