Conditions we treat with physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists treat a full range of musculoskeletal issues including:

Back and neck pain; joint pain and arthritis; knee, hip and leg problems; shoulder, arm and hand pain; foot and ankle injuries; tendinopathies; sports injuries; adolescent injuries

Among our extensive expertise, we have developed a particular reputation for our success with tendinopathies, such as tennis elbow and rotator cuff tendinopathy. We can also help you prime your body for upcoming surgery and provide post-op rehabilitation.

Personalised physiotherapy for your unique needs

Our approach is based on achieving longevity of wellbeing rather than a 10-minute miracle ‘fix’. To do this, we focus on accurate diagnoses and evidence-based, fully personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans. We cover all core physio treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, as well as specialist interventions like shockwave therapy, neuro muscular stimulation, acupuncture and blood flow restriction training.

We are honest and know our scope of practice. So if for any reason we don’t think we’re the health professionals for you, we will tell you and help get you to the right person.

Exercise prescription

Exercise is an excellent treatment for restoring movement and function while rebuilding strength. It promotes faster recovery, relief from pain and better longer-term wellbeing. It also helps reduce risk of future injury.

Alongside your exercise plan, you will have access to a very helpful app which provides demonstrations of your exercises and enables you to track your progress.

Our exercise prescriptions are very successful. We highly recommend you give them a try!

Manual physiotherapy

Manual physiotherapy is where the physiotherapist uses their hands to manipulate, mobilise and massage joints, tissue and nerves. Manual physiotherapy helps to stimulate blood flow, speed up healing, ease pain and get the body moving again.

We offer manual therapy as an adjunct to other treatment techniques to maximise treatment outcomes. We also provide you with self-care advice so you can feel more confident about managing your health going forward.

Diagnostics and treatments

To complement our physiotherapy services and should you require, we and our associate health professionals offer diagnostic ultrasound, with or without guided injections for pain relief.

We also offer some excellent treatments complementary to the physiotherapy process such as acupuncture, shockwave therapy, neuromuscular stimulation and blood flow restriction training.

Self management

We believe it’s very important to your recovery that you understand what is happening to your body, how the recovery process works and what you can do to take back some control.

We therefore provide you with the knowledge and tools to manage your pain more effectively and promote your best possible recovery.

What is musculoskeletal physiotherapy?

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a form of assessment and treatment which helps restore movement and function when joints, bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons have become dysfunctional or damaged, usually due to injury, illness or an operation.

Interventions we commonly use include manual therapy, exercise prescription, postural and ergonomic advice and self-care education. Exercise is important as it helps you to build or maintain strength, get things moving again and reduce the risk of future injury.

Physiotherapy works very well for back, neck and shoulder pain, reducing pain and helping you to move more freely.

Recent joint injury or chronic pain? Our physiotherapists can help to alleviate your pain and improve mobility.

Physiotherapy is very important in post-surgery recovery. We can help with both post-op rehab and pre-op prep.
