Nick Allen

Chartered Physiotherapist

BSc (Hons) HCPC Reg MCSP

Inspired by his physiotherapist uncle and fascinated by the human body, Nick successfully qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010 and holds post graduate qualifications in advanced practice, strength and conditioning, manual therapy and acupuncture.

Nick has worked within the private sector and the NHS, including as Clinical Service Manager for Connect Health. He has been sports physio for London Wasps, Bedford Blues and Ampthill rugby clubs, and since 2021 has been Northamptonshire County Cricket Club’s Head of Medical Services. He is also very experienced in working with adolescents and young adults, having worked with students at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire and at Cambridge University.

He firmly believes in evidence-based practice and puts his patients very much at the centre of things, guiding, supporting and trying to make things as enjoyable as possible.

When not working he enjoys family time, DIY (he gets more paint on the walls than himself these days!), watching sport, travelling and golf.

Simon Jones

Chartered Physiotherapist

M.Phil BSc (Hons) HCPC Reg MCSP

Simon graduated as a physiotherapist in 1992 after serving 17 years as a commando paramedic. He believes in providing his patients with clinically sound and evidence-based treatments and has a keen interest in clinical diagnostics, including diagnostic ultrasound and injection therapy. He is also a registered non-medical prescriber.

Among Simon’s vast sports experience, he has worked with the world-famous Barbarians rugby club and for the PGA European Tour. He is also physiotherapist for Cambridge University RUFC, preparing players for their annual varsity match, and works with the Aston Martin GT Racing Team in preparation for the annual 24 hours of Le Mans. He enjoys the mix of treating both elite and recreational athletes, as well as non-athletes who can benefit from good physiotherapy and robust strength and conditioning training.

As well as being a great physiotherapist, Simon is our resident foodie and enjoys cooking up a mean feast for family and friends. He is also grandfather to the very wonderful Lottie!
