We will always strive to offer and deliver the highest of standards to all our patients. In return we request patients and service users treat all Physix SM Ltd employees and contractors with the respect they deserve. Notifying us if unable to attend appointments and supplying relevant information promptly along with prompt payments.

Patient Registration

Before you can use Physix SM services you will need to be registered with the practice – this can be completed over the phone or on arrival at your first appointment. A profile will be created with a practice management software and consent will be obtained for us to assess and treat you.

What to Expect from Physiotherapy

Please arrive on time for your allocated appointment – you will receive a reminder of the booking 24 hours prior.

On arrival please ‘ring’ the buzzer to be let into the building and take a seat in the waiting area. Any issues or concerns please call our reception team on 01908 952019.

For the assessing/treating Physiotherapist they will need to see the affected area so please dress appropriately. Nothing will take place unless you have given your consent – this is usually taken verbally but for some interventions written consent may be required. Your clinician will advise.

If you feel uncomfortable at any time you are more than welcome to bring somebody to the session to act as a chaperone, alternatively if you let us know we can organise this. Feel free to ask any questions throughout your time with the clinician.

Following your session the assessing/treating clinician will discuss their findings and propose an agreed tailored plan going forward.

Cancellation/DNA Policy

It is Physix SM Ltd policy and at their discretion that Did Not Attend (DNA) and cancelled sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged full cost of the appointment. If insured, it is unlikely your insurance company covers the cost of such episodes so the charge will be passed onto yourself to be settled.

Our practice management system sends out booking confirmations and reminders of each session via text and email.

Referrals and Payments

We at Physix SM see self-referrals, referral from insurance companies and consultants/GPs. Payments for such sessions will either come under a self-pay agreement (patient settles the costs directly with us at Physix SM) or via your insurance company.

We are registered with all major insurers so please request our provider numbers when booking so preauthorisation can be obtained.

For insured patients we will require:

  • Name of Insurer
  • Membership/Policy number
  • Authorisation Code for treatment
  • Number of authorised sessions

At times individual policies may not cover all of our fees; this could be an excess on the policy, or that the policy does not cover certain treatments.

Self-Pay patients will be sent a payment link following their session for this to be settled. This is an online system and can take debit/credit card payments. If uncomfortable with the online system, please request our bank details so a BACs transfer can be made.

Late Payments

If fees/services are not paid within a reasonable time frame (at the discretion of Physix SM Ltd) any on-going treatment may be suspended or cancelled until these funds are cleared.
